Sol Shapiro: Ambassador Coal Energy Forum.
Sol Shapiro is a retired program manager/system engineer who spent most of his career in weapon system development, including, as program director for a stellar-inertial guidance on the Trident missile.
Sol retired from the Program Office of the Superconducting Super Collider when it was cancelled in 1994. Since that time, Sol has acted as an independent thinker defining energy and environmental direction that he believes make good national and world policy but not necessarily tied to conventional business or environmental interests.
Sol has numerous op-ed pieces in major newspapers and trade journals espousing his positions. By not being associated with any organization it has often been very hard for his sagacious voice to be heard.
