Rob Masinter:  invVEST Ambassador, Smart Grid Initiatives.

Rob Masinter is a versatile, general manager with nearly twenty years of multi-functional experience in technology, energy and natural resource industries. Rob spent the past 9 years in senior management positions with Level 3 Communications where he built and led multiple teams responsible for market development, product management, product development, and strategic planning. Prior to that, he held a broad range of finance and planning positions in the oil & gas, coal and gold mining industries.

 

Rob is an alumnus of the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College (MBA), Stanford University (MS – Earth Sciences) & Middlebury College (BA – Geology).

Rob’s professional interests include clean technology (e.g., smart grid), alternative energy development and generation, new media distribution and technology, and internet-enabled communications services.  He is particularly interested in commercial applications of IP-communications technology to enable more efficient electricity transmission, distribution, and storage.  He is an active participant at forums with the Colorado Green Tech group, TiE Rockies, and ACG.

 

Rob is pleased to serve as an InvVest Ambassador for Smart Grid initiatives.  He plans to leverage the role to facilitate technology, policy, and commercial development dialogue across stakeholders in state and federal government, universities, entrepreneurial ventures, and the investment and advisory community.
